There have been a number of really big things happening in the Las Vegas tech community lately. It’s hard to keep up with all of them and our day job, but we’ll do what we can to catch up on a few of them. In this post we’ll look at the decision by Faraday Future to build a manufacturing facility in North Las Vegas.
This first phase includes a billion dollar investment in the area and should create about 4500 jobs. This should be a nice boon for Nevada and North Las Vegas. More importantly, it’s a great start to building out the APEX Industrial Park in North Las Vegas.
The stealth Faraday Future company is an electric car company, but we really don’t know much more than that. There’s a lot of speculation about what types of cars they’re going to make. Everything from autonomous vehicles to race cars to tesla like cars has been mentioned. They’ve been deliberately vague about what’s happening.
We may get more of an idea of what Faraday Future has been working on on January 4, 2016 at 8 PM PST where Faraday Future will do a concept reveal at CES. You can watch the live Faraday Future concept reveal online. Here’s a short teaser video for their announcement:

The video doesn’t really give much info, but that goes with the territory. It’s exciting to have a car company investing in Las Vegas and announcing their latest concepts in Las Vegas as well. Let’s hope they can deliver something special and unique at CES.
